New regional investment manager

Please join us in congratulating Maurits de Koning who joined the Annona team on April 1st 2012 as Regional Investment Manager Latin and Central America. This key appointment means a great strengthening of our lead generation and execution capacity in a number of core markets. Maurits' professional background includes Business- and Valuechain development, financial expertise and Entrepreneurial coaching. We are very pleased with this addition to our team.
New investment: Virmax Ltd

At the the end of May 2011, Annona added Virmax Ltd to it's portfolio of agri related investments. Virmax is a group of companies buying, processing, exporting and importing specialty coffee (AAA) into the United States, Europe and Australia from Colombia, Guatemala and Bolivia. Virmax is able to pay premiums to their producers because of the exceptional value of these coffees. They have also introduced the concept of micro-lots, which are small bags of coffee which can be traced back to the individual producers. Needless to say that Annona is very pleased with this latest addition to its growing list of participations.
